My Story: I've always wanted to do partner dancing. Started in ballroom, but had no one "my age" to dance with. Then a swing class was offered during my freshman year. I saw clips of Frankie Manning and I was in love! When I came back to LA, the Derby was just happening, Swinger the movie came out, Gap commercial. I went dancing 4-5 times a week. Then I got into musicals, vintage clothes, and now my whole passion surrounds the time period of the 30's and the 40's.
I feel lucky to have joined 2 awesome swing teams, "Hollywood Hornets" and "One2Swing Jitterbugs". It challenged me to compete, learn amazing chereography, and build families within the swing community. The team also allowed for traveling outside of LA and be exposed to the swing community nationwide.
My life is now filled with the love of swing and I have had so many amazing memories to tell stories for years to come!!
