My Story:
I can't pinpoint the time I wanted to learn to dance, I just know that I always have. I have distinct memories of watching things like the All The Cats Join In cartoon, and movies like Strictly Ballroom and Dirty Dancing and wanting to learn partnered dance, but I never did anything about it til I went off to college. In January of 2000 I took my first Lindy Hop class ever and I have been HOOKED ever since!
Ok, so my other true passion in life is science and I have some rad science jokes/pickup lines:

Why did you first start doing Lindy Hop?
I had always wanted to learn partnered dances, since childhood, and when swing got big again I just knew I had to do it.

Not as often as I'd like.
What is your favorite thing about Lindy Hop (both as an activity and as a community)?
DANCING! I just love it. It makes me SO happy!!!

I'm in my first year of a PhD program in Cell Biology, Stem Cells and Development.
