My Story: Life is short. Break the rules...Forgive quickly...Kiss slowly...Love truly...Laugh uncontrollably and never regret anything that made you smile. Life may not be the party we hoped for, but while we're here we should dance...

Additional Questions
When/where did you first start doing Lindy Hop?
I first started doing Lindy Hop in Thousand Oak, CA at a venue called Borderline back in 1999. My friend Steven invited me out dancing. I had never danced before but always loved swing music and standards.
Why did you first start doing Lindy Hop?
After I first learned how to dance I moved away and didn't dance for about 7 years until I moved to San Diego. I got back into it because my friend invited me out and I didn't really know anybody. I had SO much fun and met so many amazing dancers!
What is the size of your local Lindy community?
Here in San Diego we probably have about 30-40 harcore dancers that go to everything but at our main swing venue "The Firehouse" you can expect to see about 100+ dancers there.
How often do you go out dancing or take lessons?
I don't take lessons that often, although I would love to take more. I do go out dancing anywhere from 2-5 times a week depending on what's going on/who'd playing or DJ-ing.
What is your favorite thing about Lindy Hop (both as an activity and as a community)?
I LOVE the music!! I love the connection you have with your partner (especially if he's a really good lead). I love the friends you make. I have so many great memories just from the past 2-3 years I've been here in San Diego. All my friends are dancers!
What do you do for a living?
Right now I'm in transition. I have worked as an Executive Assistant to a Real Estate Developer for the past 3 years but I am now in the process of getting my real estate license so I can work with my husband, Jeff Eldridge, full time.

What bit of non-swing info about you would the Lindy community find interesting?
I love collecting DVD's, music, dogs, eating sushi...my first concert was Frank Sinatra when I was about 7 years old.
How has Lindy Hop changed your life?
It has introduced to me to the most amazing music I would have never heard in my entire life. It also has brought me so many great friends and I met my husband my first night out dancing in San Diego :)
