My Story: I'd always loved Jazz music, and wanted to take my understanding of the music 'to a new level'; I found out that a person I grew up with in my neighborhood was a high-profile swing dancer, so I thought, "I'll give it a shot", but never got around to it.
Lindy hop has basically allowed me to connect with my body, to have a more visceral appreciation of music, and to meet other people and communicate in ways that don't involve words, and gives me a great excuse to be active - what's there to not love about that!
